Grace, Civanne, Amy and I have been putting in a lot of time to edit our music video, using our free periods, lunch-breaks and some time after school to make sure it's finished in time to reach the deadline. The majority of scenes have been edited together, and we have found that this means that our ideas come together and it is good to hear one anothers' opinions. Some of the problems with working as a group have been that not all of us actually do anything, as it's hard to have 4 people doing everything at the same time. It also means that it gets quite distracting.
The program is getting quite easy to use as we have got our heads around the various keyboard shortcuts and tool names. On the 'C' key for example, there is an image of a small razor; this notifies the user that the 'C' key represents the Razor Tool, so when we need to cut a piece of footage, we simply press the 'C' key and the Razor Tool is then selected. Similarly with the 'V' key, it returns the mouse to the normal arrow tool and pointer.
At the moment, we still need to film shots of people of different ethnic cultures, with the band, and have decided to do this at some point during the Christmas Holiday, so we have taken out a camera for the whole holiday, and we just need to find a date when both band members are free, and we will go to Camden Town to film these shots.
