Second Day of Filming

Last night, we went to an I am One gig to film the band performing to an audience. Before we left, we created a risk assessment, which can be seen below.

Potential Hazards

Prevention

L/M/H

Crew tripping over loose leads from stage equipment

Leads should be taped to the floor, and crew should be cautious

L

Cast getting blinded/distracted by redhead while on stage

Crew and cast should talk about where the redhead will be placed in relation to the cast before filming.

As we knew that the band would only perform the song, 'I am Blessed', once, we set up our camera at the side of the stage diagonal to them, so that the camera would be able to capture both band members, and so that we wouldn't be in the way of the audience's view. Whilst filming the band performing 'I am Blessed', we zoomed in and out on the band members' faces, making sure that we had a variety of different shots for our video, even if they were all from the same angle.

One problem that we did have was that the stage lighting being used for the band's performance, was too dark, meaning that nothing could really be seen on the camera. We used a redhead as well, so that the camera was able to capture the band, but we had to place the redhead at the back of the stage, as we could see that it was blinding the band members, when next to the camera.
