We have now completed our music video, using Adobe Premiere 2.0 to edit our footage. We used some transitions, such as additive dissolve and dip to black, but we didn't want anything too tacky, as we wanted to keep our video as authentic as possible. We matched the beat of the music to the cuts in our footage, using the 'razor' tool.
The main difficulty, in editing, lay in deciding which shots were best for each part of the song, as we had a few conflicting ideas and opinions about what looked good. For example, some of us wanted the whole music video in black and white, while others thought that this would look a bit too boring. In the end, we settled on having the beginning in black and white, and parts of the montage at the end, which I feel looks really effective. When we finished editing it looked more or less how we hoped and imagined it to. We ended the video with a shot of the towncryer we came across in Camden who announced 'I AM BLESSED' whilst ringing his bell. This added a sense of humour, but was still in keeping with the down-to-earth vibe we wanted our music video to contain.
